Retired Members
Retired members will be individuals who have reached the age of 65 and have retired from active involvement in a working professional capacity.
Retired membership is only available to individuals who have previously been full members of the Federation of Chefs Scotland for a 10-year period prior to reaching 65 years of age.
Retired members will continue to receive all the benefits of full membership.
The above is subject to membership subscriptions being maintained without arrears.
The retired members subscription will be set by the Board of Management.
Honorary Life Membership
The award of Honorary Life Membership of the Federation of Chefs Scotland will be at the discretion of the Board of Management. The recipient will require to have fulfilled the following criteria as a minimum requirement.
1) Be held in high esteem by their peers.
2) Has worked in the Hospitality Industry and or Hospitality Education for a period in excess of 25 years.
3) The focus of experience is directly related to culinary skills and expertise and promotion of chefs in a professional capacity.
4) Substantial evidence to show continued support and commitment to the Federation of Chefs Scotland and the promotion of its aims and objectives.
5) Has held a senior position within the industry and/or education for a period of not less those 20 years.
Honorary Life Membership is by invitation only, nominations must be submitted in writing and have the support of 2 fully paid up members of the Federation of Chefs Scotland with in excess of 10 years continuous service
The number of Honorary Life Members may be restricted and will be agreed by
The Board of Management.
