The Federation are pleased to announce that we will host the 28th Scottish Culinary Championships at ScotHot 2011.We believe that competitions play a fundamental role in raising the standards within the industry and in encouraging new innovative styles of service and presentation, and fostering the development of nutritionally and economically sound presentations.

All of the competitions that we are involved with are judged using World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) criteria ensuring the highest and most consistent judging standards with other countries accross the globe Whether you are a seasoned comeptitor or completely new to competing with over 50 competitions there is something .

As the focus of ScotHot 2011 is the up and coming talent in the industry we have introduced 3 new competitions focusing on the skills of our young chefs.

NEW - The Villeroy & Boch Young Scottish chef of the Year

This prestigious junior competition is open to all male and female chefs aged 23 or under currently engaged in the catering trade.Competitors will be required to submit a well-balanced, 3-course menu for a party of 4 covers, using sustainable, seasonal Scottish produce.The winner will accompany winners of other Uk young chef competitions on a fantastic trip tp Luxemburg courtesy of Villeroy & Boch

NEW - The Future Talent Restaurant

A new and exciting  team cook and serve competition open to all Scottish colleges who deliver hospitality and catering courses. The teams will be competitng live for a paying audience of  visitors to the Restaurant situated at the heart of ScotHot.
